Capture of the RQ-170 drone (2011)

In the official Iranian account, in December 2011 Iranian forces brought down and captured intact an advanced U.S. RQ-170 reconnaissance drone through electronic-defense measures. Iranian sources present the event as an example of the country's electronic-warfare and reverse-engineering capability, stating that indigenous versions were later built from it.
